A Grade B Grade Under 16 L.V.B.A
2016 Grand FInals
The A Grade clash was dominated by two young Redsox players in Blake Townsend who threw 5 inning of bullets for 1 run and Jordan Gilmore who led the way with the bat smashing a cycle that included a Grand Slam!. The A Grade team eventually won 11-0 in seven inning over the Churchill Braves.
The B Graders came out firing as they had all year dominating with the bat. Josh Graham hit a ball over the Right Field fence that would have cleared the green monster at Fenway. Matt Robertson pitched a blinder for the Redsox as the Moe Newborough bats struggled to get the ball into play and the Redsox won 15-1.
C Grade had a bad day all round. The Sale Rangers jumped out of the blocks and the Redsox tried to play catch up but were never able to get into the game going down 13-6.
Under 16's were classed as underdogs when they faced off against Sale. This was never the case as they piled on 10 runs in the first three inning and celebrated like the champions they are when they won 11-2 over 4 inning.
Our Under 13's were up against some tough competition in the South Gippsland Miners. The Miners skipped to an early lead and kept it that way. Even though the young Redsox scored 3 in the forth it wasn't to be, going down 7-3.
