Sunday was a rough outing for Caleb Poole, but the Traralgon Redsox still managed to pull out a 10-7 victory over the Moe/Newborough Dodgers at K.L.P.

Poole gave up six in 6 1/3, but the bullpen surrendered one run and the offense banged out 15 to pick up the slack and secure the win for the Traralgon Redsox .

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Traralgon Redsox finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third inning. A sacrifice fly by Jordan Gilmore scored Jay Ziersch and gave the Traralgon Redsox the lead for good.

 

 

Poole got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.

 

Jordan Gilmore, Poole, Ziersch and Warwick Poole helped lead the Traralgon Redsox . They combined for 10 hits and six RBIs.

The Moe/Newborough Dodgers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Nathan Robinson singled to ignite the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's offense. A stolen base then moved Nathan Robinson from first to second.

The Traralgon Redsox answered the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's top inning with two runs of their own in the first. The Traralgon Redsox scored on a fielder's choice and a steal of home by Poole.

The Traralgon Redsox scored two runs in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with two more in the seventh. In the fourth, the Traralgon Redsox scored on a two-run single by Poole, scoring Joshua Galea andOwen Godenzi.

The Moe/Newborough Dodgers scored one run in the top of the sixth to cut their deficit to two. An RBI single by Jayk Bloomfield sparked the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's rally. Dave Robinson to end the Moe/Newborough Dodgers (A) threat.

The Traralgon Redsox scored three runs of their own in the sixth. The Traralgon Redsox scored on an RBI single by Poole and a two-run single byBrian Spiteri.

Three runs in the top of the seventh helped the Moe/Newborough Dodgers close their deficit to 8-6. A fielder's choice, a wild pitch, and a fielder's choice triggered the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's comeback. But, Godenzi got Dave Robinson to fly out to end the inning.

After pushing across one run in the top of the eighth, the Moe/Newborough Dodgers faced just a 10-7 deficit. An RBI single by Tim Wilson fueled the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's comeback. Finally, Ziersch got Mat Luke to fly out to end the threat.

Owen Godenzi powered the Traralgon Redsox at the plate and on the hill Sunday, willing the Traralgon Redsox to a 12-6 victory over the Moe/Newborough Dodgers .

Godenzi racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Traralgon Redsox . He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.

Godenzi pitched lights out for the Traralgon Redsox . Godenzi held the Moe/Newborough Dodgers hitless over two-thirds of an inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

The Traralgon Redsox 's bats came to life in the fifth inning. The Traralgon Redsox 's bats caught fire leading to seven runs. The Traralgon Redsox scored in the fifth on an error, a walk by Rob Mowat, an RBI single by Brad Pratt, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Godenzi, and a two-run single byBrian Spiteri.

 

David Robinson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Moe/Newborough Dodgers . He singled in the first and fifth innings.

 

The Moe/Newborough Dodgers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Jayk Bloomfield singled to ignite the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's offense. Robinson singled, scoring Nathan Robinson and Simon Wilson. The Moe/Newborough Dodgers pushed more runs across when scored on a fielder's choice.

The Traralgon Redsox tied the game in the third on an RBI single by Godenzi that scored Judd Neilson.

The Traralgon Redsox stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by Mowat and an RBI single by Brad Pratt.

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Moe/Newborough Dodgers and the Traralgon Redsox , as the two teams put up 22 runs combined in a 14-8 the Moe/Newborough Dodgers win.

The two teams combined for 20 hits in the game.

Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the Moe/Newborough Dodgers to easily put away the Traralgon Redsox . An error, an RBI single by Eric Robinson, and a two-run double by Trent Job in the first inning and a two-run single by Trent Euman and a hit by pitch during the second inning fueled the Moe/Newborough Dodgers 's offense early.

 

Reagan Crockford boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Moe/Newborough Dodgers . He singled in the third and fourth innings.

 

 

The Traralgon Redsox 's Judd Neilson was perfect at the dish, going 1-1. He doubled in the third inning.

 

The Moe/Newborough Dodgers won even though Trent Euman didn't have his pitches working. Trent Euman was taken out after two innings. Trent Euman allowed five hits and four runs.
