Simon Wilson's walk-off single off of Blake Townsend boosted theMoe/Newborough Dodgers (A) to a 7-6 win over the Traralgon Redsox (A) at Burrage Reserve on Sunday.

Wilson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Moe/Newborough Dodgers . He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.

The Moe/Newborough Dodgers starter Nathan Simpson struggled, allowing six in six innings, but the bullpen gave up no runs and the offense banged out 11 to pick up the slack and secure the win for the Moe/Newborough Dodgers .

The Traralgon Redsox pushed six runs across in the sixth inning to start the scoring. The Traralgon Redsox scored runs on an RBI single by Matt Robertson, a two-run error, a two-run single by Tom Rynberk, and an RBI single by Jordan Gilmore.

The Moe/Newborough Dodgers weren't able to score a run off of Brad Prattduring his eight innings on the hill and the Traralgon Redsox took home the win, 20-0.

Brad Pratt struck out six and allowed two walks and six hits.

The Traralgon Redsox continued to add runs until the end of the game. The Traralgon Redsox scored 14 runs in the final three innings to cap the win. The Traralgon Redsox scored 11 runs in the ninth on the Traralgon Redsox scored in the ninth on an RBI double by Dan Smith, an RBI single by Will Brooker, an RBI single by Judd Nielson, a two-run single by Brian Spiteri, an error, a three-run home run by Davis Long, and a two-run double by Brooker.

 

Long had a busy day at the plate, collecting four extra-base hits.

 

The Traralgon Redsox didn't relinquish the lead after scoring four runs in the second inning when they scored on a two-run double by Brad Pratt, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Smith.

Sunday was a great day for Wayne Beames, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Traralgon Redsox to a 10-9 victory over the Moe/Newborough Dodgers at Burrage Reserve in five innings.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 19 runs and 17 hits, including seven extra base hits.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with four lead changes.

The Traralgon Redsox finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. The Traralgon Redsox scored on a two-run home run by Peter Townsend off Trent Job, scoring Cameron Gray.

 

The Traralgon Redsox hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for the Traralgon Redsox came when Beames homered in the fourth and fifth innings.

Jason Beames, Townsend and Beames helped lead the Traralgon Redsox . They combined for six hits and seven RBIs.

The top of the first saw the Traralgon Redsox take an early lead, 1-0. Townsend kicked things off for the Traralgon Redsox with a single. A stolen base then moved Townsend from first to second.
