Morwell Cougars (B) fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 26-6 loss to Traralgon Redsox (B) on Sunday. Traralgon Redsox (B) scored on a groundout by Brenton Pump, a double by Judd Neilson, an error, a single by Will Brooker, and a groundout by Lee Donoghue in the first inning.

 

Despite the loss, Morwell Cougars (B) did collect two hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Traralgon Redsox (B) had 18 hits on the way to victory.

 

Traralgon Redsox (B) fired up the offense in the first inning, when Pump grounded out, scoring one run.

Traralgon Redsox (B) scored 15 runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by Traralgon Redsox (B) was led by Neilson, Steven Cox, Shigenori Suzuki, Donoghue, Max Smith, and Matt Robertson, all driving in runs in the inning.

 

Robertson toed the rubber for Traralgon Redsox (B). He went two innings, allowing three runs on one hit and striking out one.

Traralgon Redsox (B) racked up 18 hits. Neilson, Smith, Suzuki, Josh Neilson, Cox, Robertson, and Brooker all managed multiple hits for Traralgon Redsox (B). Neilson went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Traralgon Redsox (B) in hits.

Morwell Cougars (C) watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-5 loss to Traralgon Redsox (C) on Sunday. Traralgon Redsox (C) scored on a single by Ant Richards, a passed ball during Chris Cooper's at bat, a double by Wayne Beames, a double by Brenton Pump, a single by Lee Donoghue, and a single by Rohan Knowles in the first inning.

 

The Morwell Cougars (C) struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Traralgon Redsox (C), giving up 14 runs.

 

Traralgon Redsox (C) got on the board in the first inning. Richards singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Donoghue got the start for Traralgon Redsox (C). He went three innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out three.

Rob Moffatt led things off on the pitcher's mound for Morwell Cougars (C). He went four and a third innings, allowing 14 runs on 17 hits and striking out five.

Traralgon Redsox (C) totaled 17 hits in the game. Ken Neilson, Pump, Josh Burgar, Donoghue, and Beames all had multiple hits for Traralgon Redsox (C). Neilson led Traralgon Redsox (C) with three hits in three at bats.
